Snow in Vancouver!
It snowed last week, which doesn't happen all that often around here. Or at least it doesn't usually stick. Snow on the ground meant I had to find training options other than cycling outside, so on Saturday Jeanine, Lisa and I went snowshoeing up Mount Seymour in North Vancouver. The mountain had about 20 cm of fresh snow and it started snowing heavily while we were up there, which made it a real Winter Wonderland (officially designated as such by Lisa). It was Lisa's first time, which was neat because it was like watching a child learning to walk. No, not quite. She did really well most of the time, but had some major issues with steep uphills and downhills. The fluffy stuff made falling a hoot, which is probably why she did it so much. I will give her the benefit of the doubt anyway.
