I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1980. I now live in the 'burbs. I earned a BA in Non-Fiction Writing with a minor in Professional Writing from the University of Victoria in 2003.
I now work as a freelance writer and have contributed to such publications as Pedal Magazine, Bicycle Trade Canada, The Martlet and Pushbikes.ca. I also have considerable experience in Web Design. My main passion is the pursuit of a career in professional cycling. For my racing résumé, click here. I am a past member of the Canadian National Team in the cross country mountain biking discipline and qualified for the World Mountain Bike Championships in 1998, 2002 and 2003. The highlight of my career to date was winning the 2003 Canada Cup Series Title.
Besides writing and cycling, I enjoy photography, cooking, travelling, downhill skiing, hiking, sea kayaking and being outdoors in general. I Have a keen interest in learning to surf, but am a little turned off by the cold water of Canada's West Coast. I also teach bicycle safety and mountain biking camps for children during spring and summer.
