Ode to the Radio Flyer a.k.a. Red Rocket

Last week I drove to Idaho and back for a NORBA race. Road trips are so much fun, especially when you're driving somewhere new and exciting. Now, Sandpoint, Idaho may not sound exciting, but it was new....

I drove one of Bruno's four cars down -- the Radio Flyer (we call her that because she reminds us of our childhood maroon-coloured wagon in whom we used to careen down the street). She also goes by the name of Red Rocket because she's red and oh does she ever rocket... (Bruno, I think she has a hole or two in her muffler, because she's really loud when I try to to 'rocket.' Also, the engine is making a loud clicking sound -- it seems louder than usual...).

Anyway, I picked Trish up from the ferry terminal and we headed south -- windows rolled down, radio blaring (until we lost reception and had no music because the Rocket doesn't have a CD player and who has cassette tapes anymore these days?). The following is a comparison between the Radio Flyer of today and the Radio Flyer of yesteryear...

And now for something completely different...

I got my new Harry Potter book in the mail today!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to get in touch with me in the next few days, you might be out of luck, as my face will probably be buried in the pages of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Speaking of which, I have to go now ---
