Reviewed: Liv/giant XC Glove

These gloves offer excellent quality, value, and functionality.

Liv/giant’s full-finger XC gloves are my new favourite lightweight pieces of cycling hand attire. I love their simplicity – no Velcro to do up at the wrist or to snag my clothes in the dryer, minimalist padding for maximum handlebar contact, and airy fabric that breathes on those hot days, but still offers enough protection and warmth on the cooler ones.

The Liv/giant XC glove is my choice for all of my training on the mountain bike and when there’s a nip in the air, I don’t hesitate to wear them on the road. It’s the perfect cross-country racing glove, offering great dexterity and comfort. My size S’s fit, well, like a glove. I was even pleasantly surprised to note that the fingertip grip pads on the thumb and two first fingers are smart phone compatible, so I don’t have to remove my gloves to answer a call on my ride or snap a quick photo with my iPhone.

At a suggested retail price of $29.99, these gloves offer excellent quality, value, and functionality. They come in two stylish colour combos: hot pink and black, and light teal and grey.
